Fifty years ago, Washington attorneys came together to form Seattle Legal Services, one of the first civil legal aid organizations in the state. Thereafter, Seattle Legal Services transformed into the statewide program Evergreen Legal Services, stepping forward to advocate for a more inclusive vision of justice in our state. Today, Columbia Legal Services and our allies in the justice and equity movement have continued our collective work representing individuals and entire communities who use the tools of the law to manifest justice.
